Brightness settings do not stay when using NEC MultiSync LED monitors

We ordered about 20 of the Lenovo 10AY tiny desktops for our businesses and I've found a consistent problem with the Lenovo tiny computers and NEC monitors. 

Whenever i pair the lenovo 10AY units with our NEC monitors in our business, users have constant monitor brightness issues. I have updated to the latest version of Lenovo power manager software on several desktops and the monitors still will not stay at 100% brightness after a log off/reboot. I've also tried downloading the latest NEC monitor drivers. still no luck. Here's how it goes:


- deploy new lenovo 10AY

- log into workstation

- NEC monitor goes to lowest brightness setting

- manually set brightness back to 99%

-double check lenovo power manager settings to ensure brightness is set to 100%, dynamic brightness control is disabled, timers are off ETC..

-log off computer

- log back into computer 

- 5 mins later, monitor goes to lowest brightness setting

- go into monitor menu and manually change brightness back to 99%

-REPEAT above steps every day



on the other hand. i found a DELL monitor and a SAMSUNG branded monitor and plugged the same computers into them. No dimming occurs. Power manager settings work fine.


This is specific to NEC Multicync monitors. The exact model i tested was a NEC Multisync EA244WMI LED
