I have two 4gb PC3-10600 1333Mhz modules. When I place them in my motherboard, one of two things happen. The Windows 10 logo comes up for about 5 seconds, then it shuts off, or two dots from the loading circle come up and then the top half of the screen is blue. I have tried with dual rank and single rank modules and have updated to what I believe is the current BIOS. The page for this PC on the Lenovo site says it is capable, so why isnt it working?
This is on a Lenovo M90p 5536CTO.

Which slots are you using? If you number them starting from the one closest to the CPU, they should go into slots 2 and 4

I put them in DIMM 1 and 3, or 2 and 4 as you described it.
I just put 4gbx4 into it and it gets closer, the circle comes halfway around before giving me an error, such as kernel error or bad pool header and then shuts down.

Brand of memory? Bad DIMM? Try just slot 1. In my note, I described slot 1 and 3. Manual says they are numbered 2, 1, 4, 3 from CPU

What brand and model is the memory?

It is A-tech.
The original 2gb stick works- thats how I am typing this.
I tried only one in DIMM 1, still doesnt work.
I originally bought this: http://www.amazon.com/PC3-10600-DESKTOP-Modules-240-pin-Tech/dp/B00C53A80C?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=tr...
They sent me 2 new sticks that I dont know the page of, they only say 4GB PC3-10660, however neither work.

I puled my last note. I'm not sure, but the manual specifically says UDIMM. I also would try a different brand.

I believe you are correct.
Upon further inspection, the original working RAM says on the top:
So yes, I am pretty sure it has to be unbuffered, unless that means something else...?
