Domain Name interference with Login

Help!  I am working on a new Thinkcentre where we are replacing a HP desktop.  The Thinkcentre is running Windows 7 Professional with an Intel i5-6400 CPU @2.7 GHz.

First of all, I know nothing about domain names, but it appears that the existence of a domain on this new machine is interfering with our ability to log in to a Sharepoint site.  Despite the fact that I ask for a new user name, the computer seems to be adding the domain to the login username, therefore invalidating the username because of the "LENOVO/<username>" being used as the username instead of just "<username>" (see screenshot).

How do login with ONLY the username?

Thanks, in advance for any help!

Re: Domain Name interference with Login

Which browser are you using?  And have you tried an other?
