E93z BIOS

2018-03-05, 16:44 PM

Hi guys,

I have an E93Z with W10 pro 64bit (model 10B8003TIX), I try to update the BIOS through the lenovo windows update utility to the FFKT46A version but I can't.

It starts the process, it starts "reading flash" but after that it doesn't erase and it doesn't write anything and after restarting it does the same.

I also tried the previous version FFKT45A at the very bottom of the bios download lenovo page but without success.

Shall I try to download from here  my version FFKT28AUS and overwrite it?

Do you have any idea?

Regards

Franco

i flashed the same release and it seems it worked but it still doesn't shut down the pc. I also boot a live distro of linux, I shut it down and it restarted again. it must be a motherboard problem. what if i try to replace the cmos battery?

this is the youtube video I shot while updating the bios through live usb key https://youtu.be/n47ELqpmgJ8

it says "reading flash" , it ends and it reboots while if I flash the same release already installed it goes through the writing...

update:

Using a bootable usb drive made with rufus and the afudos file.rom /p /b /n command I managed to update the bios to the version FFKT30A but the problem remains, after shutting completely down it restarts... could be the Embedded controller (version FFCT04A)? could be the PSU?  https://imgur.com/a/oTW08

Shall I update to the last avaiable bios version, the FFKT46A?
