Graphics card doesn't run on x16 interface

Hi, I have a problem with my motherboard. I have Lenovo Mahobay Q77 motherboard and on board it says that it runs on x16 interface, but on GPU-Z it shows that card supports x16 but runs only on x8. Wanted to know, if updating BIOS will help me with solving this problem, or is there anything else I need to do?

Thank you for your help and sorry if my English is bad.

Re: Graphics card doesn't run on x16 interface

You have it reversed, the slot supports x16, but the card only uses x8.  On the CPU-Z you posted, it says max is x16, and the link is x8, also card descriptions show it as x8:  Newegg: EVGA GeForce GT 730 02G-P3-1733-KR 2GB PCI Express 2.0 x8 Video Card

Re: Graphics card doesn't run on x16 interface

I don't know if reversed. GPU-Z says that graphics card supports x16 but runs at x8. Also I have MSI GT 730 4gb version ( https://www.msi.com/Graphics-card/N730-4GD3V2.html ). And on that EVGA card it already looks like it's x8, because link isn't as long as x16 cards have.

Also tested it on other computer and it says x16... Could it be BIOS update or just something else? If it's BIOS then which is the newest one I need to update to?

Re: Graphics card doesn't run on x16 interface

Photos show that your specific MSI 4GB GT 730 card is a x8 card.  It is physically impossible for it to run in x16 mode:

What does PCI Express 2.0 x8 mean? Is this okay for gaming?

Okay, thank you, but now I'm wondering why it showed x16 on other computer...

Thanks for your help!
