you mean 1 TB?

i have used 2 x 2 TB drives in these machines before, so it should be okay.

I want to build a NAS/Homeserver with FreeNAS (BSD Derivate) I´ve heard that older OS like Win XP and Linux can´t cope with this new 4K System which is used on WD Eco Green Drives e.g.

I haven't used xp with that particular machine setup, so I can't really comment on your particular question.
