How to add second serial port in ThinkCentre M58p (6209)? On motherboard is socket described COM2, but it have 11 pins. All extension panel have only 9 pin... For example: http://static.frazpc.pl/board/2008/01/120136493129149886.jpg
It's ok. Look at http://www.frontx.com/pro/cpx102_2.html. There are two variants of motherboard socket. You must check pin assignment.

No, I can't find any manual for this PC (m58p 6209) with description of this pins.
It's only one way to avoid the damage of serial port on the motherboard except the use of original part. Unfortunately, the manufacturers are using different standards. The 9-pin connector is used in most cases, but pin configuration may differs.

Similar issue in M91P SFF.
Connector on mainboard has 15 pin as in http://www.lista.it/serial2.jpg
I bought Lenovo spare part 41R6198 but it has 9pin instead of 15.
Cannot find the Lenovo spare part to fit this connector.
Any idea if the 9 pin connector can fit this 15 pin socket?

Would a PCI add-on serial card, such as these from Newegg, work?
