I Want to Access BIOS on ThinkCentre M Series to enable virtualization

My Operating System is W-7 Pro and I want to install XP Mode, only I think I need virtualization enabled in the BIOS.

After powering up, the following don't give access to the BIOS:

F1

F2

Ctrl+ Alt + F3

Ctrl + Alt + Ins

F1 + F2

Does anyone know how to access  the BIOS in this machine?

According to the Registry Key this computer has Lenovo BIOS Version 5JKT55AUS.

How to enable virtualization is another question, but first I want to get into the BIOS.

Thank you

"after powering up"? You select F1 at the Lenovo splash screen just after boot to enter BIOs. If you're not able to get in, you are not pressing F1 soon enough.

Sometimes, with my wireless keyboard, it doesn't become active soon enough after the power-on  to F1 into the BIOS, and I have to connect the original wired keyboard.

Re: I Want to Access BIOS on ThinkCentre M Series to enable virtualization

Hello,

Thank you BiggAl (Guru) for responding. Sorry about the delay in my getting back, I am in school, hence little time.

You were 100% correct, once I connected a wired keyboard, F1 accessed the BIOS reliably.

Now my problem is that I don't see where in the BIOS to enable "virtualization" mode.

Can some one tell me how?

Thank you

M90 I don't know, but for a M91p, it's: Advanced/CPU Setup/Intel Virtualization Tech

This is actually true for me in 100% of instances. Sadly I have to keep a wired keyboard around incase I need to hit a command :\

Re: I Want to Access BIOS on ThinkCentre M Series to enable virtualization

I have this problem also on a Thinkcentre 720 18ASU.  After spending over an hour with tech support, it appears that the BIOS has no selection to enable virtualization.  Windows 10 task manager says it is disabled.  Why would anyone not want virtualization enabled on an 8 core processor?  Running virtualbox in 64 bit mode is one of the reasons I chose this computer over less capable ones.

I'm not aware of the ThinkCentre 720.   Any chance it's an IdeaCentre?
