The latest BIOS shown on the Service page of the web site is F1KT70A
But the latest program update on the Solution Centre is version 1.7
Are these the same?
If they are there is a problem as version 1.7 causes machines not to wake up from sleep.
Would just like to know what is going on.

This update gives problems!
I have recently installed & after installation the Machine fails to wake from sleep.
Engineer visited today & replaced Mother board.
But I thought I would post to warn others
ALSO, the bad version 1.70 is still on the Solution Centre/System Update so be careful.
Also:- How do I find if a new version of the Flash BIOS is available??

Independent of System Update or Lenovo Solution Center, you can find the latest driver packages here:
Also, many people are more comfortable applying BIOS updates via the bootable CD method.

Thank you for merging, but you have missed the real issues, which are:-
1 The update on Solution Centre/System Update is version 1.70 & this gives problems ie after installing machine will not wake
2 Version on web site you state, I think may be the same as that on "Solution centre" hence again will cause problems
Could you please get Lenovo to sort out this problem

Indeed they are the same.
In answer to your question about where to find the latest BIOS, it'll always be at the link I provided. In fact, that driver listing page often shows new versions sooner than TVSU or LSC.
Please keep in mind that moderators are not Lenovo employees. We don't speak for the company, nor do we influence the timing of new package releases. The best advice I can give is to keep an eye on the driver listing.

Thanks for the clarification & I am aware that you are not a Lenovo employee.
But unless action is taken by Lenovo to withdraw these updates they are going to cause many problems to customers & huge extra expense to lenovo for warranty corrections.
Could/would you get a message to Lenovo to advise them of this?
