Lenovo M700 Tiny: which M.2 SSD (SATA)?

I am puzzled... Just bought a Intel 600P M.2 ssd. But it is not recognized in the bios or in Linux OS.

So I can use some help buying the right m.2 ssd for my Lenovo M700 Tiny Skylake 6500T bios chip M150.

I am after a 128gb model. Any suggestion appreciated!

Re: Lenovo M700 Tiny: which m.2 Sata SSD?

No.   That drive from Lenovo is PCIe NVMe, same as your Intel 600p, which does not work in a M700 Tiny.   You need a SATA interface M.2 SSD, like the 2 Samsungs I listed above.

Re: Lenovo M700 Tiny: which m.2 Sata SSD?

Samsung 850 or 860 Evo or Pro, and I suggest getting a 250 GB size.  For longevity, you want to keep 1/4 of it free space, and 128 GB too small today.

I was reading the link. To be honest I do not understand it well. After all, I bought the wrong ssd after reading that post :-)

Now I am assuming that this ssd from lenovo will work? Although it is not providing any helpful information about the sata compatibility. Thanks again! (I can not find, in my country = Europe, The Netherlands, the right samsung ssd with a single hole in the connection, they all have two holes).

Re: Lenovo M700 Tiny: which m.2 Sata SSD?

Yes.  Since it specifies 'SATA' in the description, and not PCIe, it will work in M700 Tiny.

Re:Lenovo M700 Tiny: which m.2 Sata SSD?

I am trying to install a Kingston M2 (SM2280 S3 G2 / 240G, I think SATA) memory into a M700 with WiFi. It does not recognize it after install. Do I need to adjust perhaps the CMOS setup / BIOS before booting ?

Re:Lenovo M700 Tiny: which m.2 Sata SSD?

Not that I am aware of, the BIOS default settings can be loaded and saved.  Try resetting the card first.  If still no go, call Kingston tech support.
