Lenovo M93P 10AA - Error 1802: Unauthorized network card

Hey Lenovo,

I just installed a mini-pcie ethernet card into my M93P and the bios is blocking it, how can i bypass this, and why is there a lock to begin with?

You might try restoring the default settings for the BIOS, and trying that card again.  And I know with graphics cards in larger models, recognition can be dependant on whether the system is in UEFI mode or BIOS/compatibility mode.  Beyond that, I don't know of any way to bypass the BIOS.

Re: Lenovo M93P 10AA - Error 1802: Unauthorized network card

Hi BiggAl, unfortunately this doesn't work as the bios itself restricts what mini pci-e card can and cannot be used by the system by whitelisting specific hardware IDs.

The only fix to this would be Lenovo releasing a BIOS removing these artificial restrictions.

And we're back...

Move delayed but still coming
