M55 8811G43 cannot get dual display to work

I have recently purchased for a client a M55 8811G43 which comes with the onboard video and has also a PCI-E Video Connection Thinkcentre Adapter. We have two monitors - one connected with the analogue vga cable (onboard) and the other with the DVI connection.

When the machine is starting up, we can see the display (mirrorred) on the two screens. This also works whil windows vista 32 bit business is starting up. Once it gets to the logon screen, the screen connected to the DVI connection turns off.

Not sure if this is an issue, but can only see one video device in the device manager. Have tried to run the intel graphics properties to use both desktops but it can only see one monitor.

No matter what I try, I cannot get two screen to work at once. Please help.

Thank you

Simon

Re: M55 8811G43 cannot get dual display to work

I worked it out myself. The drivers that came already installed did not work. I updated to the new Intel driver and now it recognises the two screens.
