M55e Graphic card

Hi All, i have a M55e (9632-AB3), bought a 5450 graphic card and after installlation just realise it will not work.

Found on the forum, users mention 5xxx series and 6xxxx will not be supported. But i found this website show 6450 will work. http://www.4allmemory.com/video-card/lenovo-thinkcentre-m55e-desktop/

Just wondering if anyone have success in installing this card on m553 without the 4-2-3-3 post BIOS error?

I am thinking of either replace the card with 6450 or GT210.

Thanks

Re: M55e Graphic card

What card did you get specifically? I have a ThinkCentre M55e 9632-A94 and I struck out with an XFX 5450 card (got the 4-2-3-3 beep error, which seems pretty common, and couldn't get it to work even by changing BIOS video settings).

Trying to decide if next I should try the Geforce 210 like you, or the Asus ATI Radeon 6540 like it suggests here: http://www.4allmemory.com/memory/lenovo-thinkcentre-m55e-desktop/

Thanks!

Re: M55e Graphic card

4allmemory does not provide accurate information on what will work.

Generally, if a 5 series card will not work, neither will a 6 series.
