I'm trying to install the SoundMAX driver silently for Windows XP SP3 on a M58 using Micrososft System Center Configuration Manager. However, despite running the command line "setup -s" to do a silent install it's not working as the log file entries below show:
Successfully prepared command line "\\<path>\SMSPKGZ$\SMSPKG\<ID>\setup.exe" -s
Command line = "\\<path>\SMSPKGZ$\SMSPKG\<ID>\setup.exe" -s, Working Directory = "\\<path>\SMSPKGZ$\SMSPKG\<ID>\
Program exit code 0
Script for Package:<ID>, Program: MDT_M58_Audio succeeded with exit code 0
Execution is complete for program MDT_M58_Audio. The exit code is 0, the execution status is SuccessRebootRequired
The program MDT_M58_Audio for package <ID> and advertisement SMS10000 completed succesfully and it requires a reboot, however reboot is supressed. Removing request.
Program exited expecting reboot, delaying execution of other programs for 60000 ms
System restarted while program MDT_M58_Audio is prompting user for reboot
It's the last line that is worrying - if I'm running setup silently why would it be prompting me for a reboot?
Has anyone else managed to deploy this driver successfully through a deployment tool such as ConfigMgr/ SMS?
Many thanks and kind regards,
