M710q Dual screen not detected

2018-05-10, 16:54 PM

I've recently deployed a couple ThinkCentre M710q mini desktops running Windows 10 Pro.  They have 3 DisplayPorts on the back.  One labelled 1 friom the punchouts and two more along the bottom with the rest of the peripheral ports.  There is another punchout labelled 2 but it is not occuipied.  For some reason, I cannot get to to detect 2 displays automatically.  I have to launch the Intel Graphics Settings and run a detect within that program.  The problem is when we reboot it loses the second screen again and we have to do it all over again.

Any ideas?

Option port 2 is for a serial port.   Are you using DP port on the monitors, and the cable is DP to DP?

It's a DP to DVI adapter. After some troubleshooting I think it may be related to the adapter. try to get my hands on another one.

Refer to the "Read First ..." thread above for info on DP adapters.
