M900 SFF Looking for part numbers

2017-04-29, 1:53 AM

The description for the M900 SFF on the web site talks about a dust filter. I really liked the idea and when my machine arrived I went to show my wife that feature. There was no dust filter! - support said they didn't know anything about a filter but if I could supply the part number they would send me one. Is the web page description wrong? Or does anyone know how to get the dust filter?

The page with all the FRU lists is here:

System Service Parts

The part you are looking for appears to be 00XD822 or 00XD823

It appears it looks roughly like the picture on page 88 of the HMM.

Red Hat - SSME
ThinkStation P320 - ThinkCentre m900 Tiny - ThinkPad P50 - ThinkPad Yoga 260

This helped me too

I pulled up the shop Lenovo page for your machine.  Your m900SFF includes dust SHIELD, which you can opt out of and save $10.

Dust Shield is part 00XD823 for a machine type 10FG/10FH(SFF).

Parts look up states: dust filter for TC 9L. ($31.95)

Page 88 of HMM references dust shield.

Part 00XD822 is for a machine type 10FC/10FD(tower).

Parts look up states: dust filter for TC25L. ($12.95)

Unless you opt'ed out of dust Shield you should have had the part included in your shipment.

The parts list .pdf describes both items as dust filter for TC9L, which is incorrent.

00XD823 (circled area states dust shield)

All prices are from Lenovo.Encompass.com, which calls these parts heat sinks.

Thanks to everyone who replied got it narrowed down. FYI - got the machine thru the outlet store and they didn't tell me the configuration or what was missing.

Correction:

You have to ADD the dust shield to your order for $10.

Default=dust shield not included.
