Re: M910 Tiny total number of M.2 and SATA SSD slots

What is the final answer?

1 HDD slot, 1 pci/e 3x4 slot and some WWAN slot for more items?

I intend to put the Samsung M.2 SSD https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07822SVMS/ref=ya_aw_od_pi?ie=UTF8&psc=1
into that adapter and use it in the SATA 2.5in bay (instead of a SATA SSD)

One 2.5in SATA SSD/HDD and one M.2 NVMe SSD slot for storage drives. I will update and confirm once I get my system later this week.

Well got my system already and sadly confirmed that although there is provision for two NVMe slots, the empty one does not have the connector and holder. There was no option to have a second M.2 storage slot included when I purchased the system although mine came with a 90w power adapter instead of the standard 65W one.

Re: M910 Tiny total number of M.2 and SATA SSD slots

Specs show:

Storage
Some: Hard Drive / SATA 6.0Gb/s, 2.5", 5400 rpm or 7200 rpm, APS

Some: Solid State Drive (SSD) / SATA 6.0Gb/s, 2.5"

Some: M.2 Solid State Drive (SSD) / PCIe NVMe, PCIe 3.0 x 4, 32Gb/s

Some: Intel Optane™ Memory (models with 7th gen Core processor), M.2   <== This is PCI/e 3x2 or 3x4.

===

We are getting closer to answer. Provison  is  a big word.

1 sata slot and 1 pci/e slot? and a mystery slot.

wink, They are cross using motherboards.

The space is there but there is no NVMe pcie socket soldered onto the m/b and no plastic retaining pin. :(

Can it be post installed and support enabled in bios?
Can the WWAN slot be used for anything else like storage instead if I don't need the WWAN card?

BIOS actually shows two M.2 drives. Too bad I don't have the know how to solder on the other missing socket connector. haha

This is borderline infuriating (Lenovo's vagueness on hardware configurations). Lenovo reps told me the M710q had provisions for 2 PCIe storage devices. They even had advertisement pics showing this. Later we (me and forum members) guessed that the second storage slot was reserved for M910q owners. Then someone later posted that it's only the M901x that has provisions for 2 PCIe storage drives.
