Re: M92p Tiny (2121A4U) and Three Monitors

A bit of extra information I forgot to add to my previous post.

The Optional Displayport Cable is very simple to fit - it just connects to port 8 on the motherboard shown on page 13 of the service manual http://support.lenovo.com/en_GB/guides-and-manuals/detail.page?DocID=UM014537.

I don't see anything of the sort on page 13.

Is there an image of this Displayport Breakout Cable part number  54Y9350. When I go to the Lenovo site it just says DP and I am concerned I am just going to buy another cable that plugs in the Display port at the back of my machine.

Also I have been unable to locate a place on the motherboard. I have the small M92P desktop M: 7033-JY8 ThinkCentre, is it hidden under the CPU fan or do I have the wrong model?

TIA

hi qwales,

there is not many pictures on the breakout cable.

The closet you are going to get to a picture, is this.

Sorry my mistake the page number should be 92 but this only shows where the cable connects and not the actual cable.

I can take a photo of the one I've got and post it - it is essentially a displayport socket with a 5cm cable that connects to the motherboard.

Thanks for that. On my machine the only pins I have by there are Audio or Com 2, is this where it is attaching on the motherboard?

hi qwales,

Mark_Lenovo have written an article on the M92p Tiny system displayport breakout cable installation (and its caveats).

My thinkcenter only has 1 display port and one VGA , does that mean I will NOT be able to connect 3 monitors?
