M93p graphics card upgrade

2016-03-04, 8:27 AM
Ok ok, so I've read a lot about using the gtx 750ti in an m93p. But my question is, what could fit if I upgraded my psu to 500 watts? And yes, I would be getting the 24 pin to 14 pin adapter.

There has been a lot of "unless you want to upgrade the psu" talk, but nobody talking about upgrading the psu and using a card higher than a 750ti.

Would a 500 watt evga psu with 5.9 x 5.5 x 3.4 inches dimensions fit as an upgrade?

I'd like to use this comp for also doing video editing and the higher the core count the better!

Firstly, I'm using a Corsair AX750 in the same case, and I'm sure the evga will be the same size or smaller.   It's advisable to get a modular supply as there's limited room for unused cables.   The Corsair CX modular supplies work well for that reason.

Any PSU is valid for the machine, the only downside is the 24-14 pin PSU adapter, aside from that any "ATX PSU model" should work on the case, but to be honest I will change the case too, since the case is somehow is small and can give you problems with the video cards, the original case have 39cm of lenght do the math.

Also for the holly 24-14 pin adapter, I encountered this page with a great tutorial if you don't want to buy the adapter or can't buy it.
