I tried to implement a Nvidia Geforce GT610 into my M90p Desktop (ThinkCentre 3257, Win 7, 64-bit), but it is not recognized.
All Lenovo specific drivers are updated. I can't install the Nvidia driver, because no graphic card is found. The card is not listed by the device manager. Updating hardware changes fail to discover the card.
I searched the internet to find out, if the mainboard works with this card, but I couldn't find any viable information
Any idea what to do?

You should check your BIOS and look for video settings. I set my M58p to PEG to run my GT 710. I think it's set to auto by default. It's possible you might have to use your onboard to change the setting, then switch your monitor to your new card, then reboot and see if that works.
It's worth a shot.
My ThinkCentre M58p.

Thanks for your proposal.
Unfortunately it didn't work.
After I changed the video settings in BIOS, I got a black screen, so I had to shut down the PC by force.
After rebooting the system required a system repair, which is running now more than 5 minutes. Bad luck!

Take a look at the readme file for the Nvidia driver for your system. It has a list of supported adapters.

Go to your system's support page on Lenovo, then to drivers and software, then display and video adapters.
