I have a Lenovo OEM Intel P3700 Series - 800 GB AIC (Intel PN: SSDPEDMD800G4L | LenovoX PN: 00YK374 | LenovoX FRU: 01GR659) which I would like to update the firmware on.
Intel's Data Center Tool, which I've used a number of times in the past to update Intel OEM NVMe drives, won't allow for an update of the current drive firmware (8DV1LP13) and states "Please contact your Intel representative about firmware update for this drive." By "Intel Representative" Intel mean's Lenovo. I've searched Intel's forums and they direct any support questions for non Intel storage back to the OEM.
Can anyone offer any insight as to how I may update the firmware on this drive, please? I found what looks to be a Lenovo version of the Intel Data Center Tool, for the x3650 M5 dated 12 May 2015, but that tool is over a year older than the "pack date" on my P3700. Note that unfortunately I don't have a Lenovo system to use to update.
Many thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer!
