ThinkCentre Edge 72 3484 Kernal-Power error when Ethernet cable is plugged in

2015-01-20, 20:29 PM

So I have another issue, if I have an ethernet cable plugged into my pc once the computer has booted it will power off.

If I leave the cable disconnected there is no issue, however I don't have access to my network resources at this point, including the internet :(

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers but this hasn't helped, I don't get a BSOD even when I have changed the setting under advanced settings in the System menu.

I am begining to think that there might be an issue with the ethernet socket,

Any ideas?

Will buying a network card resolve this?

Did you try different cable? Something might be shorted ...
