My ThinkCentre M57 (Type 6075) was purchased with 2x1GB RAM installed and was somewhat slow. I decided to upgrade the memory by installing 6GB RAM. Unfortunately, only 2.9GB RAM is showing as usable. This is a Windows 10 32-bit operating system but has a x64-based processor. I was going to update the BIOS but I can't find anything compatible on the Lenovo driver site nor anything on this topic. Any suggestions?

Max memory for a 32-bit OS is 4GB.
Max memory for a 6075 is 8GB. You need win 10 64bit to use all your memory.

Thank you! I was afraid this was going to be the answer. Is there a reason why it wouldn't release the additional 1 GB of RAM rather than capping the usable memory at 2.99 GB?
How painful is the migration? I have some programs that I may not have the CDs any longer:-(
