We are using ThinkCentre M715q tinys mounted to the back of our 7000 series SMART Boards. They work great except for one major issue. The M715q will not boot up if the USB cable between the M715q and SMART Board (for interactive touch) is connected. We have to unplug the USB cable to be able to boot the M715q into Windows and then replug the USB. Some users have a hard time with this. I assume this a BIOS/boot order issue. Any help would be appiciated.

We found a weird solution that seems to have worked with a SMARTboard and Jtouch having the same issue, with the board plugged in the computer would refuse to boot. Eventually, some computers with older smartboards that booted normally when we imaged them and were working fine with the board attached stopped booting, giving a "Checking media presence, no media present" error at startup - this fixed that issue as well.
In our case, in BIOS we went to Startup, and enabled CSM (compatibility support). That in itself wouldn't fix the problem, we had to set Boot Mode to Legacy Only and let it attempt to boot. This would eventually fail, and we'd go back into BIOS and set Boot Mode to Auto, UEFI First - in each case afterwards the computer would boot normally without having to unplug the boards USB cable, or throwing the no media present error.
