ThinkCentre M900z Touchscreen not working

2020-07-27, 20:35 PM

I have a ThinkCentre M900z, running Win 7, but the touchscreen suddenly stopped working and mouse cursor what moving randomly all around the screen. I discovered that the HID-compliant device in Device Manager was malfunctioning and I disabled it, which has stoped the mouse cursor from moving, but there is no HID-touchscreen device listed in the device manager and the touchscreen does not work.

These are some solutions that I've tried:

1) Updating the HID drivers from device manager did not work

2) Uninstalling the HID drivers and restarting the PC did not work.

3) Toggling the touchscreen off and on in the BIOS did not work.

4) Turning the PC off, unplugging it and pressing the power button for 1 minute did not work.

5) Lenovo Vantage is not compatible with Win7, so that did not work.

I believe I just need an uncorrupted version of the HID-touchscreen driver, but I can't find it on the support page.

Any help is appreciated, this PC has never been connected to the internet, and is being used to run a specialized device.
