ThinkCentre M92p Tiny - display port - no signal

hi

just purchased a used ThinkCentre M92P-Tiny and trying to connect to a TV with DP TO HDMI lead 

the machine detects the tv but i get no signal, for the past 2 days i have scoured the internet looking for soloutions and tried everthing but still getting nowhere, all drivers and updates are up to date, the bios is the latest etc  

 

i am starting to think it is the machine that is faulty or the lead !

 

before i buy a new lead or even send the machine back i was just wondering if there is something else i am overlooking

 

any feedback would be appriciated

Hi! Its pretty late for an answer. I had similar problem where the DP was not working but VGA port was. I corrected the video settings in the bios to onboard graphics card and then the port started working. May be this might help somebody having similar problem.

I know this is an old post so this is for info only in case someone has the same issues with the display port not working as the solution wasn't posted.

Default BIOS setting for the Video Devices is [AUTO] and must be changed to [IGD] as shown below.

Enable Multi-Monitor Support in BIOS Setup as shown in the following picture and then press F10 Save and Exit.
The following BIOS settings are required:
Select Active Video = IGD (this is as far as i got as there was no further options to pick from in the bios)
Multi-Monitor Support = Enabled
Install the latest Intel Graphics driver for the applicable system.
Install the latest PCIe Video Card drivers for the applicable NVIDIA or AMD video card.

Save & Exit.
