ThinkCentre M92p Desktop - Type 3209; Upgrading to SSD

2019-09-22, 14:32 PM

In system information it says I have a local fixed disk, which I think is HDD? I want to upgrade to an SSD.

1.) Regarding the current HDD, can I/should I remove it when upgrading? If it can be removed, is there any benefit to keeping it in place for other functions, etc?

2.) Im not sure which type of SSD to get. I cannot determine if I need mSATA, a 2.5" SSD, 3.5" SSD, or a 2.5" with a 3.5" adaptor. Any benefits to choosing a particular type? Are they all compatible with this model?

Thank you

2.5" SSD, with or without a 3.5" adapter.  Samsung 860 Evo is a popular, cost effective choice.
