If you have a M53 Tiny, then it has 2 video ports, a VGA and a DisplayPort (DP), as depicted on page 29 of the Maintenance Manual.   Connect the unused port to the 2nd monitor, and reboot.  It should become active automatically, usually in Extended mode, but if not, then see here:

The 23" ThinkVision monitor comes with DP and VGA ports, and with those cables.  It's best to cable natively, without using adapters (ie. to HDMI.)  In particular, going from VGA (analog) to HDMI (digital) requires a specialized, active adapter.

Note:  some monitors require you to specify the input port using the buttons / menu on the monitor itself, refer to your monitor's user manual.

Sorry, I'm not understanding;  and perhaps your definition of M53 and of 'thinkcentre' is different than mine.  If you give me model numbers, of the computer, and the monitors, that could help.

Both monitors are Thinkcentre # 10DQD, one with M53 Tiny # 10DE-001HUS installed and the other is monitor only.

Thank you

I understand now, you have a Tiny-in-One monitor with the M53 Tiny installed, making it like an All-in-One system.

Halfway through this video, it shows a Tiny being installed into your Tiny-in-One monitor model 10DQ, and that the VGA port in the upper half of the Tiny is unused and assessable.  Cable a VGA to VGA cable to this port, and lead it out the bottom when the hinged cover is closed.  Connect this to a monitor that has a VGA port, like the ThinkVision monitor I linked to above in this thread.  The M53 Tiny cannot connect to your second Tiny-in-One monitor (TIO), as the TIO only has a DisplayPort (DP) input, and there are no qualified VGA to DP adapters.  VGA is the only 2nd video port option for the M53 Tiny, other Tiny models have other video port configurations, including an optional 3rd video port on some models.  Don't be confused by the many DP to VGA adapters, as they only work in that that direction, and not in the reverse, VGA to DP direction that you need.

Note:  the open DP port (#4 on Pg 3 of the TIO User manual) on your 1st TIO with M53 installed, is an input port (for when using the TIO as a monitor only with an exteral desktop Pg 9) -- and is not an output port from the Tiny/TIO to a 2nd monitor.
