USB Type C > HDMI on Desktop computer

2019-11-14, 13:10 PM

Hello,

I would like to know if it's possible to use an USB Type C to HDMI converter on a desktop computer like M720q. For some setup we will need to connect 3 monitor on a computer. It could be great to be able to use the USB type C to do it.

Thank you for your help.

Laurent

You just need a standalone graphics card with three interfaces(VGA/HDMI/DVI),then you can connect to three monitors with Display cable.

The specs for M720q strongly suggests that it's possible.  I don't have this system, but if you are able to try it.

Worst case, you can add a 2nd HDMI or DP port; or daisy-chain (or hub) two DP monitors off the one DP port.
