WIFI USB for old desktop

I have an A61E that is still in use. To add WIFI capability I was looking at a USB 2.0 WIFI adapter, specifically 802.11ac. Would this work?

Re: WIFI USB for old desktop

Took the plunge. Bought a Netgear USB 2 WIFI card and it works like a charm.

Just plugged it in, drivers auto loaded and the device immedialtely found my wifi modem.

NB: not using Access Connections, using Genie instead.
