What does this result code mean?

2017-03-15, 15:05 PM

I've been having some issues with a M73 desktop and decided to run diagnostic on it. One of the hard drive tests failed and the result code came up as UHD01R002-RM7XOI. I tried but can't find out anywhere what this code means. Does anyone know?

Hi friend,

Welcome to Lenovo Community! And happy to have you here.

As I understand that you have query regarding Diagnostic result code which has occured during the hardware scan.

It looks like the Hard drive is failing & needs to be replaced, if system is under warranty take a data backup and contact Lenovo Support to replace it.

I hope the above information helped you.

Please feel free to post in Lenovo Community Forums if you have any further queries!

Cheers,

Prabhansh

I got a ! on 2 of the scans: Smart Short Self Test and Smart Drive Self Test.  I ran it again and got the same results. This time I took a screenshot of the page.   the Result code was WHDG00000-RN8DZH.   What does all this mean?  Is there anything that I can do to fix this?

I have a similar issue.

I'm getting a "!" under "Storage/SMART Health Test."

Result Code: "WHDG00000-RN7V1I

Dunno what this means, but I do know my machine's been running really slowly and sounds like it's about to take off half the time—while doing nothing more than having a couple browser windows open.

I ran the scan on the hard drive for my p71 and it displays a warning for the SMART health test, and the result code is WHD400000-UN8X4I

Boot into Windows normally, download CrystalDiskInfo and it will show you current SMART attributes of your HDD, once you'll determine what parameter is out of range, will easily decide whether to replace the drive urgently or can run full sector scanning to remap several bad sectors from spare and keep it running a few year(s) more.
