Windows xp reboots

Hi

I installed windows xp sp2 on think center s50 8086  using  SATA CDROM sucessfully .and i removed the SATA CDROM and restarted the computer. it keeps rebooting . when i reconnected the sata cdrom and it is booting as usual.when i removed the cdrom it again keeps rebooting ...any suggestion please i cannot keep the sata cdrom as its normal cdrom drive and not the ibm s50 dri ve.please help me..thanks in advance

hey cyrix_jj,

check the bios setting for your unit. i believe that your boot option is set to load your optical drive first.

rearrange it so that HDD loads first
