I installed 13 brand new computers at the beginning of September.
At the end of the day staff are required to burn an audio recording to a CD.
It works normally on 8 of the computers but on 5 of them we are having issues.
The CDs used are higher quality and meant to last 30+ years. On the 5 problem computers, we can't burn to these CDs. The same CDs can be burned to on the other 8 computers. All computers are able to burn to regular CD-Rs.
I confirmed the driver and BIOS versions are the same across all computers.
They are running WIN 10 x64
Are there any settings that could be causing this? Am I looking at an almost 50% lemon rate on DVD-CD burners?

Just a thought to help identify the problem. Swap the optical drive between a working and non-working unit, does the problem follow the drive?

Thanks Al. I finally got around to doing this and the problem followed the drive. I still find it perplexing that one type of CDR burns fine but another type doesn't. As they are under warranty I opened a service call.
