restoring ThinkCentre M710Q back to Factory settings - Windows 10 pro

Product Name: ThinkCentre M710Q
OS: Windows 10 pro 64 bit
When you go to my computer, you can only see 1 partition which is drive C. But if you check the disk management, you can see the recovery partition. Is there a way to access this partition if you want to restore the windows 10 back to factory settings?

Re: restoring ThinkCentre M710Q back to Factory settings - Windows 10 pro

Don't hold me to it, but I believe (and others can correct me here if I'm wrong)...

You can certainly try this recipe.

I think you need to first create "recovery media" (to external USB or CD/DVD).  I believe you can find the function in Start -> Lenovo Thinkvantage Tools -> Factory Recovery Disks.  Follow the onscreen instructions.

To initiate a "factory restore" (which makes use of that un-lettered recovery partition) I believe you insert that "recovery media" and then boot the machine and press F12 repeatedly.

When the Please select boot device window opens, release the F12 key.

Select the desired startup device containing the "recovery media" and press Enter. The restore process begins.

Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the operation.
