Keyboard keys (del/ins/prtsc) not working after Win10 update.

2018-05-12, 17:52 PM

I've quite recently done an update of my win10, which seemed to be without any hiccups..
Obviously i didn't test it thuroughly enough..

It seems that 3 of my keyboad buttons/keys have become inactive after the update(!?)

(the on-screen keyboard works without problems.. so there is a software to hardware.. or vice versa.. -issue along the road )

And there are no updates to fix it!?

Laptop: Lenovo E531 (688526G)
OS: Win10 Pro

Build: 17134
Keyboard layout: Norwegian

Already tried to:
*uninstall keyboard driver, reboot and reinstall
*reset BIOS

Any help/suggestion would be more than welcome!
(especially since i use the del button enough to miss it a LOT)

Cheers!

I had the same problem with my Flex 5 after the Win 10 update; also my printer had problems. I uninstalled my printer drivers and reinstalled the complete driver package and printer again, and the PrtSc worked.  (Something must have changed on the update.) Hope this works for you.

By "driver package" do you mean all 3rd party drivers on the whole computer?

My Brother printer came with utilities from which I could download their Full Driver and Software Package (http://support.brother.com/g/b/downloadlist.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=hll2360dw_us&os=10013).  Your printer must have similar support where you could download drivers after uninstalling and reinstalling your printer.  This worked for me.

Perhaps downloading the drivers for one of the devices that shows up on your printer device screen (Control Panel) will work. Other than that I cannot help further.  Sorry.
