Thinkpad E530 No Display Issue

2020-03-29, 18:59 PM
I took my laptop apart to add RAM and now my laptop will not display anything on the screen. Backlight not working either. I have checked the connection at the back of the screen and the connection to the motherboard, both fine. Freaking out here. Both hinges are basically destroyed. Is there some pin or something that is making the laptop think it's closed and that's why there's no display? Thanks guys!!

The cable can be damaged even though it is connected, or if the battery was not removed prior to removing the base cover it is possible that a short circuit blew the LED back-light fuse.     If the back-light fuse is blown, you would still see a faint image on screen when you shine a bright light on the screen from the side, and you can also plug in an external monitor to verify that the graphics adapter is OK as well.

Best of luck,
