logging with fingerprint sensor after hibernation

2021-03-07, 10:19 AM

Hi.

Is this normal, that after hibernation I can't login/unlock system with fingerprint sensor? After coming back from sleep mode it is possible but after hibernation I have to login with pin code. Is it possible to switch on login with fingerprint sensor after hibernation?

Lenovo E14, Windows 10 PRO.

Greetings,

guffi

My system is of course up to date. I've used pcsupport.lenovo.com and Lenovo Vantage. Any other idea to solve the problem?

Regards

Guffi

Hello,

Could you post the system type number of your system, there are different generations and builds, knowing exactly which system type helps others help you. The type number is the first 4 characters of the order number e.g. 20T7 which identifies an E14 second generation AMD system.

Re:logging with fingerprint sensor after hibernation

My laptop is: 20TA000EPB

it is Intel i5 11th gen, with 1TB SSD and 32GB RAM.(I have extened SSD and RAM).

, windows version:

ver    Windows 10 Pro

ver    20H2
comp.    19042.867
 Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0

I have looked closer to this problem and it looks a little bit different: if I close my laptop it goes to sleep mode. Then, if I leave it for several hours I see that it goes to hibernation mode. And then, if I open my laptop I can't log in with fingerprint.

If I normally switch my laptop to hibernation mode I can normally log in with fingerprint sensor.
