Battery not charging past 89%, threshold set to 100%.

My Lenovo battery has recently decided to only charge to 89% when plugged in. It had been charging to 100% not a problem; the charging threshold is set to charge when below 95% and to charge to 100%. Recently, without changing any settings, the charge has reduced to below 90%. Even when turned off and plugged in for hours, the battery does not fully charge. The battery is not overheating; when plugged in and running, there are not many programs being used that would stop it from charging. The battery gauge states "plugged in, not charging."

The computer itself is less than 6 months old and this issue has just begun in the past 2 weeks.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Can you drain the battery a little bit, then plug it back in?
