I recently upgraded to Windows 10 on my E531,but now I get a message that the Dolby Advanced Audio driver is missing. How do I download the driver?

Re: Dolby Advanced Audio driver on Windows 10

Found my Control Pannel [w-10] and noticed 2 Dolby logos.

Went to programs & Features: got rid of the old one.

This was after Windows had downloaded and installed an update from Conexant [SP]

The "can't start Dolby driver" dialogue came up.

By getting rid of the old one {Circa 2013] and keeping the newer [ Dolby Digital Plus Advianced Audio ]

The dialogue has gone away.

Profile Editor appears when i click in the Control Panel.

good luck

Re: Dolby Advanced Audio driver on Windows 10

I have the same problem and tried the Lenova solution here: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/documents/ht104069.  It doesn't work.  I did not have "Realtek High Definition Audio" or "Conexant SmartAudio" or "IDT High Definition Audio" but do have Conexant HD Audio, which I uninstalled.  However, after rebooting, it reinstalls itself.  Then I get the "Unable to start the Dolby audio driver. Please restart the computer or reinstall the driver if the problem persists" message.  I found a potential solution at TroubleFixers.org: http://www.troublefixers.org/laptops/download-fix-dolby-audio-driver-for-windows-10-for-lenovo-noteb... but am afraid to use it since you have to download something.  Has anyone tried this successfully?

Re: Dolby Advanced Audio driver on Windows 10

VXero,

Basically that article was telling to uninstall driver and softwware.

Then install the driver and software executable file that are already in your PC under drivers folder (should be the preload driver and software). You just need to run and install it.

Let us know if it works for you.

By the way, what machine do you have and has this issue?
