Within 6 months after I bought it, my E320 has shown intermittent charging - while the plug was in all the time, the diode was blinking and the tray icon showed repetitive plugging and unplugging of the power cord (also with a beep when the sound was on). As I was travelling during that time, I ignored the problem but within 2 weeks this developed: the system was slowed down, kept freezing and finally the computer wouldn't turn on at all. The warranty service exchanged the entire motherboard, which solved the problem, but did not explain what it was.
Now the same story begins. The power plug is either not detected, or detected but charging is intermittent. Even worse - I checked my warranty period and the website says it expired on Sep. 15, but I bought the laptop on October 20, so it should be still valid, or? I would probably need to extend the warranty, as this seems a very problematic specimen... How do I request the right warranty expiration date?
