E320 - switchable graphics - integrated Intel performs worse than expected

Hello guys,

I have an issue with my laptop, which is not critical, but still pretty annoying. While performance of AMD6630 is pretty amazing for 13" laptop, my integrated Intel performs at 50% of expected performance from various benchmarks with the same configuration (3D Mark 03 - 5700 vs 10 000 at notebookcheck etc.). The same situation occurs in games, performance of AMD is 4-8x better, when it should be 2-3x better in general. Even 9 years old Colin McRae Rally 3 runs 25-30fps in 1024*768 high details.

I´ve tried updating to unofficial 12.3 Leshcat drivers, but the performance hadn´t improved at all.

Of course I can use just AMD, but I´d like to use Intel when playing on battery or playing less demanding games to save energy and generate less heat and noise.

So, I wonder:

  1. Is it a bug or a feature? (e.g. Intel is underclocked even in 3D mode to  save energy and usage of AMD for every 3D app is expected)
  2. Could please some of you share your experience or at least 3D mark 03 score?

Thanks!

Yes, I use 8.15.10.2559 and got similar results with original Lenovo drivers and 8.15.10.2712.

What Cinebench 11.5 OpenGL score do you get with the HD3000? There was a Performance Bug on (maybe some specific) E320 systems, the recently released 1.18 Bios fixed this issue.
