Is Lenovo working on this problem already? 


There will be a solution for this problem? (In 2-3-4 months?) Should we start selling/ give back our laptops?

I think it took already too long... I can't even change it from BIOS to run only on 6630m, not thinking at switchable graphics right now...

Jamez Thankyou so much for helping us out with this problem.... I've been following this thread for a while and just want ed to say thanks to jamez for helping us which no one else seems to do.... Also when you say they are testing them does it  mean it should be out very soon... Hope so! Smiley Tongue

It worries me that we saw new bios only for E420s, can you specify how you'll manage other EDGEs (E320,E420,E520)

no, nobody here has new information - so DO NOT BUY THIS LAPTOP! you will be extremely unhappy with it.

maybe the issue is going to be fixed, but lenovo does not offer us much information, just that " has been forwarded and is currently tested..." but not IF there is going to be a patch, neither if that is going to be a satisfying solution  (maybe you'll have to shutdown, enter bios, change settings and restart the laptop depending on what program you plan to use - that would be not better as it is now) and not how long it is going to take.


so until not everyone who has bought one of these and is now suffering from that decision has been made happy and has gotten what he or she paid for (although there is a little bit of hope left here...) - i'm sorry to say, but: buy something else!

I think i will forgot my idea about buying an Edge 420s. That is why i will buy a DELL Vostro 3450 (DELL Vostro 3450 ), which will be in my opinion a better choice regarding the different comments that i can see on Lenovo's forum.


I find it very unfortunate that a company like Lenovo which is known to be more responsive to this kind of problem and have a good professional reputation does not find solution to those problems.
