Hello, I just bought a lenovo thinkpad e430c with windows 8, Anyway after a failed attempt to dual boot windows 8 and ubuntu I made a system restore using a backup and a system image disk I made earlier. However, after the restore I am unable to enter the bios settings using (enter, fn + f1, fn + f2, fn + f12, f1, f2, f12) all not working.
what makes my problem much worse is that prevoiusly I was able to access bios settings using shift restart in windows 8 but after installing ubuntu as my main system and screwing up it's boot I cannot enter any operating system anymore as the boot priority is I thing fixed at the HDD.
If I can only enter the bios and change the boot priorities I can fix the ubuntu installation using live cd or even restore to windows 8.
Any help appreciated, thank you very much.

My laptop was not coming on after the bios chip or the flash mem was damaged so I ordered dual bios chip for a lenovo thinkpad e340c, would this fully replace the two chips found on the motherboard and would it work
