Re: E485 strangely unresponsive keyboard

Was this bug newly introduxed in 1.27? If that is the case, perhaps we can flash back to 1.25?

Re: E485 strangely unresponsive keyboard

I can't personally answer that, as 1.27 was the version pre-installed when I got my laptop.

Anyone else know...?

Re: E485 strangely unresponsive keyboard

If this is the case, is there a way to rollback the bios to 1.25?

Mine came with 1.27 pre-installed.

Re: E485 strangely unresponsive keyboard

You can download older Bioses from the e485 support page. I assume there should be a way to downflash?

Re: E485 strangely unresponsive keyboard

Well, first step, does anyone actually know for certain that the bug was introduced in 1.27?

Between that uncertainty, and the new BIOS coming soon, I would have thought it better to just wait...

Re: E485 strangely unresponsive keyboard

I'd love to know if the BIOS is going to be for the E585 model as well since I'm experiencing the exact same issue on my E585. It should be, considering the E585 is only an E485 with a larger screen and a numpad.

Re: E485 strangely unresponsive keyboard

I got of the earliest one and AFAIR it was shipped with 1.25. I updated ASAP in hope of improved Linux Support. And the trouble started after the update. I wondered why I make so many typing errors and thought I was just not used to type on a small keyboard. It was not until somebody notified me about this issue and I could reproduce it easy with typing fast "e r enter"

Re: E485 strangely unresponsive keyboard

Anyone successfully down graded to 1.25 and it fixes the issue?

Hey @EvilAsrael, is it just me or your status is suddenly "Lenovo employee"?
