E520 - Intel SATA Controller AHCI Driver for Windows 7 (64-bit) driver

Hi guys, may I ask for a help with Intel SATA Controller AHCI Driver for Windows 7 (64-bit), please? I went to Drivers download page and I choosed my laptop (ThinkPad Edge E520 1143-37G), then Storage driver, but when I click at Intel SATA Controller AHCI Driver for Windows 7 (64-bit) nothing happens. 32bit is available for downloading tho. Thx a lot for any hint Smiley Happy

Re: E520 - Intel SATA Controller AHCI Driver for Windows 7 (64-bit) driver

I believe the hard drive has failed and that is why it is asking for a driver.  The hard drive is no longer recognized on the SATA connection and the system recovery routine wants a driver to find a hard disk.  The Windows 7 (64-bit) driver is needed because that is what should be installed in the bootable OS partitiion (non visible partition).

Re: E520 - Intel SATA Controller AHCI Driver for Windows 7 (64-bit) driver

Thx for reply mate. But what I asked for was working link for that driver for my laptop (because at support.lenovo.com when I choose my laptop model and I go to Storage drivers and I try to download 64bit, it doesn't show any link). And about nonvisible partition - you probably mean this 100 or 200 MB System reserved partition. I don't use it, only have 2 NTFS partitions (bootfiles and bitlocker stuff are at CSmiley Happy and 1 ext4 and swap Smiley Happy

Hi trueblue666,

I've sent lenovo a feedback regarding it, the driver should appear on the following page once they fix it:- http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?LegacyDocID=MIGR-74273

Hope this helps.
