E525 Bluetooth mouse no longer discovered

2012-11-27, 22:36 PM

On my E525 running Windows 7 Home 64 bit, I paired my bluetooth mouse successfully which worked fine. However after resuming from hibernation it no longer functioned and I couldn't connect it again. I removed it from the list of Bluetooth devices so as to add it as a new device but nothing is now discoverable, neither the mouse nor my phone. The mouse still works fine with my Lenovo 3000 N200 though and is discovered instantly.

Having looked at all the bluetooth suggestions I could find, I tried:

Switching Bluetooth off
Uninstalling ThinkPad Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software
Switching Bluetooth on
Installing ThinkPad Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software v6.5.1.2700
(Driver installation for Hands free audio, Remote control, L2CAP interface)

Bluetooth Settings are:

Allow Bluetooth devices to find this computer
Allow Bluetooth devices to connect to this computer
Alert me when a new Bluetooth device wants to connect
Show the Bluetooth icon in the notification area

Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator (working properly)
    Driver version 6.1.7601.17889  21/06/2006    6.1.7600.16385 (win7_rtm.090713-1255)
    Files C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\bthenum.sys
ThinkPad Bluetooth 3.0 (Port 0005 Hub 0001, working properly)

    Files C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\bthport.sys      6.1.7600.16385 (win7_rtm.090713-1255)
          C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\BTHUSB.SYS       ditto
          C:\Windows\system32\fsqirt.exe               as bthport
Power Management no tick in Allow the Computer to turn off this device
Share is not set

PIM Interface is not set

Services running
Bluetooth Service                   btwdins

The laptop is still under warranty and any suggestions would be welcomed.
