I don't understand the issue procedure. Why don't you guys test it on that notebook internally? Why do you need confirmation from others? I mean c'mon, really? There's a little chance that someone posts a reply to this topic since I can't even find this notebook anywhere.
Just create the case that will say that this is broken across the board and add this model that is certificated to the list and see what they say.
I've fixed tons of issues with my lenovo laptop on linux (from brightness early after release to weird bugs with the ssd cache and dual boot) and this is the last one that I have... I'd even mod the bios if I could, shame it's protected against this. This is why I hate laptops... I have no control over their behavior. It sucks
And just for the record I use Xubuntu 14.10 on E540 20C6003QMC with BIOS 2.17.

Good news, guys!
(New) Enabled Refresh rate 2x feature.
(Fix) Fixed an issue related to S3 resume failure on Ubuntu.
I still haven't tested it, but it is a good sign. Can't wait to get back home.

The investigation into customer reports of failed suspend/resume function in Linux on E440/E540 models has concluded.
BIOS 2.18 restores this function.
