E560 Display Shift / Black Bar

Hi,

My ThinkPAd E560 has developed a black bar about 0.5cm on the left hand side, cutting off or hiding the dispaly.  The cursor seems to disappear off screen completely.  Issue appears in BIOS screen as well. See pictures atatched.

I've tried;

1- Clean re-install & updating drivers

2- Changing resolutions up and down

3. Connecting to VGA monitor - no black bar!

Any ideas, is this a dispaly or motherboard issue? I'd hate or order a replacement and have same issue.

Thanks

Re: E560 Display Shift / Black Bar

Welcome to the forum.

 Issue appears in BIOS screen as well.

That suggests a hardware rather than OS or driver issue. If this unit is still covered by warranty then I'd contact Lenovo to get it repaired.

There's a thread about this issue here: Thinkpad E570 recommended screen resolution 1920 x 1080 cuts off left side display
