E595 Ryzen 5 3500U Staying at 1400MHz when trying to run low-end games

Games like CSGO and LoL (which don't require much performance at all, and this the 3500U should be able to do alteast 60fps in at 720p, hell benchmarks i've seen run it at 100+fps at 1080p), my laptop at the moment does not achieve even 30fps on them.

SO far, after running hwmonitor and checking clock speeds, the laptop stays at 1400MhZ when at 50 degrees C and never goes to evne the cpu's stock speed of 2.1 GhZ. All power modes are on maximum performance and the laptop is plugged in.

If I run a benchmark like Cinebench R15 for example, the laptop boosts to atleast 3.4GhZ and the CPU reaches 70 degrees C.

I don't quite understand what is wrong or what the issue is. Or is this normal for the laptop?

I have the same problem with my e495.

CPU Temp is 56° and its 1400 MHz on all cores.

I noticed the clocks are set at 1400 MHz as soon the cooling starts.

I also had same problem with my Thinkpad T495. I buy it to be able playing dota but when used to play dota, its only running at 1400 mhz while tdp rated 6.8w and temp only 63C. I think the problem is on lenovo bios.

Re: E595 Ryzen 5 3500U Staying at 1400MHz when trying to run low-end games

My problem solved, I update latest bios for laptop then i install AMD driver for ryzen APU mobile processor (I using the Ryzen 3500u driver). My clock can manage to pass 1400 in dota2 (1400-2200). After than i put 2nd ram to make it dual channel and my clock can run up to 3ghz in dota2 and increasing fps almost 2x than using single channel one. (Note: My thinkpad model is T495 Ryzen 3500u pro)

If you don't mind, nodoka- What timing and speed of ram did you add? And what is the original stick?

Lenovo states 2400 max officially but seems to ship at least some of these with 2666.

Re: E595 Ryzen 5 3500U Staying at 1400MHz when trying to run low-end games

Since the processor only support 2400mhz, i add 16gb 2400mhz ram from my old laptop, the onboard ram was 2666mhz 16gb, but i check its only run 2400. when i add my ram (kingston 16gb 2400mhz) it can run dual channel.
