Hi,
I have an Edge 13 (a 0196 with SU7300) which is great. However, I can't enable the TrackPoint. The checkbox in mouse properties (UltraNav tab) is greyed out.
I've checked the bios and there is no option to enable/disable the trackpoint.
Any ideas?

Hi stefd,
What happens when you press Fn+F8? Do you see an option to enable Trackpoint and touchpad?
Keep us informed.

prakz - the touchpad is working fine; it's the TrackPoint I can't get to work. Thanks for the link though.
Maliha - Fn+F8 is just screen brightness, what is it supposed to bring up?

Just checked that Edge 13 has brightness control button at F8, on other ThinkPads it's usually trackpoint/toucpad settings:-
Check in the mouse settings -> UltraNav, and verify that trackpoint is enabled there:-

Your image turns up blank, can you please re-post somewhere else like tinypic and paste a link to it in the post?
By the way which OS are you using? Win 7?
I don't have Edge 13, but on most ThinkPads the trackpoint option is in Config -> Keyboard/Mouse -> Trackpoint section of the BIOS.
In the meantime, you can try reinstalling the driver to see if it does something:- http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-74295
Let us know how it goes.

Here's a tinypic link .

There is no option in the bios to configure the trackpoint.
That driver link is for 15.0.18.0. My system update log shows that it installed 15.0.24.0 in october last year. Why can't I find that version on the support?

You have wrong driver installed, I think this is the reason why the trackpoint is disabled, they changed the version to 15.2.1.0 (when previous link opened normally), this driver is only for (MT: 0217, 0221, 0250) as written on the support page:- http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-74581.html
Correct driver for your MT is:- http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-74295
I suggest you uninstall the previous driver and install the correct one.
Keep us informed.

Ok, I did that. The installed driver is now 15.0.18.0 but the TrackPoint box is still greyed out.
Yes, I'm using Win7 Pro 64.
Any more ideas?
